About Us
Intentional leadership. Accountable growth. Positive impact.
Thena Leadership Consulting takes its name from the Greek goddess Athena, a symbol of wisdom, strength, and strategic leadership. Known not only for her intellect but for her ability to guide with courage and clarity. Athena represents the kind of leadership we believe in, grounded in knowledge, tempered by insight, and always guided by purpose.

Our Story
At Thena, I believe leadership isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being purposeful, accountable, and human. I'm here to reshape the way leadership is lived and learned, by supporting people to grow intentionally and lead with real, lasting impact.

Grounded in positive psychology and years of frontline experience, I provide coaching and development that’s designed to help leaders build confidence, self-awareness, and the capability to create meaningful change, for themselves, their teams, and their wider organisations.
Who is Thena?
I’m Natasha (Tash), founder of Thena Leadership Consulting and a passionate, down-to-earth leadership coach and facilitator based in Gippsland (and a dedicated coffee lover!).

After 14 years working across local and state government in senior leadership and human services roles, I’ve seen first-hand the incredible impact strong, supported leadership can have, not just on performance, but on people’s lives. I’ve led multidisciplinary teams, coached frontline and senior staff through complex change, developed and delivered training, and supported high-stakes decision-making within justice, HR and community safety systems.

But what’s always driven me is people. I believe that most people want to do well, to contribute, and to feel connected and valued, and that leadership is the key to unlocking this in workplaces. I started Thena to bridge a gap I saw every day: leaders and organisations trying to do their best, without the time, tools or space to meaningfully grow their leadership capability.

Thena is a blend of my own name and a nod to Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and strength, a reflection of what I hope to foster through my work. My approach is grounded in positive psychology, real-world learning, and trauma-informed practice. I collaborate closely with leaders, teams and organisations to build confidence, capability and culture, in ways that are practical, human and lasting.

What makes my work different is the integration of a psychosocial lens, shaped by years of working in complex behavioural change settings. I bring curiosity, compassion and a strength-based lens to everything I do and always aim to create space where leaders feel safe enough to be honest, challenged and supported. Because I know what happens when workplaces don’t prioritise that, and I’ve seen the transformation that happens when they do.

I believe that great leadership is not about being perfect, it’s about being willing to learn, adapt and lead with purpose. My mission is to walk alongside leaders and organisations as they do just that.
